Qualified applicants will be invited to interview according to program priorities until interview slots are filled. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate the following:

Training at an accredited US medical school (LCME or AOA accredited) and to US citizens/green card holders (must have at least 12 months of US clinical experience, excludes observerships and externships)

Graduation within the past two years or transitional residency experience

High academic achievement (no Step 3 failures, maximum one Step 1 or 2 failure)

Commitment to family medicine
​

Leadership and/or community service
​

Likelihood of choosing to live in Michigan
