Hamzah was born in Royal Oak, MI and grew up in Lebanon. He moved back to Michigan in 2011. He received his Bachelor of Science in honors biological sciences at Wayne State University. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. While he hopes to practice full-scope family medicine, he is interested in preventative medicine, procedural medicine, sleep medicine and behavioral health. In his free time, Hamzah enjoys high intensity interval training, playing soccer, baking and spending time with family and friends.

Rob grew up in Shelby Township, MI. He completed his undergraduate degree in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan, and went on to earn his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His interests within Family Medicine include preventative medicine, behavioral health, sports medicine, and urgent care medicine. In his free time, Rob enjoys fishing all around Michigan, attending local sports games and concerts, and spending time with family and friends. After finishing residency, Rob plans to work with medically underserved populations in an outpatient setting.

Ioana grew up in London, Ontario where she attended Western University. She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. To name a few, her interests in family medicine include promotion of health maintenance and disease prevention, procedural medicine, and urgent care medicine, but she hopes to practice full-scope family medicine. Ioana spends her free time socializing with friends and family, hiking, biking, and participating in any outdoor activities. She also enjoys playing all sports, video games, board games, and card games.

Malik was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Physics. He attended West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine to earn his medical degree. His current interests within Family Medicine include sports medicine, procedural medicine, and lifestyle medicine. He enjoys hiking, kayaking, archery, board games, and is a Detroit sports fan. Upon completion of residency Malik hopes to stay in Michigan and work in outpatient medicine.

Martial (pronounced Marcial) was born and raised in Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon. Cameroon is a small country of about 28 million inhabitants located in West Central Africa. Martial moved to the United States to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia where he graduated with Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He then stayed on to complete a Master of Health Administration with a graduate certificate in Healthcare Informatics and Healthcare Ethics. He received his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. His interest in Family Medicine includes rural medicine, Women’s health, global health, procedural medicine, and community health. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, working out, watching sports and he enjoys running and he is currently training for a half marathon later on this year.

Heraa was born in Pakistan before she immigrated at the age of 6 with her family to San Francisco, California. She received her Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience as well as a minor in English Literature from Mills College in Oakland, California. She then decided that the island life sounded like a good time and went on to receive her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine on the island of Sint Maarten. Her current interests in Family Medicine include Women's Health, Healthcare disparities, Behavioral medicine, OMT, and Preventative Medicine. Outside of medicine Heraa enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, parents, and friends, spending time outdoors, watching Disney movies and/or going to Disney, baking, traveling, and drinking excessive amounts of caffeine.

She received her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her interests in family medicine encompass women’s health, procedural medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Beyond the world of medicine, she enjoys cooking and baking, traveling to explore different places and spending time with family and friends outside.

Her professional interests in family medicine are social determinants of health, academic medicine, behavioral health, and LGBTQIA+ care. She is passionate about providing and creating access to care for underserved populations. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and family, attending HIIT classes, traveling, and mentoring young Black and Brown girls interested in pursuing medicine. Upon finishing her residency, Amber plans to become faculty at a family medicine residency program where she can continue caring for patients and teach the next generation of residents.

She then earned an Honors Bachelor of Health Sciences from the Physician Assistant Program at McMaster University. After practicing for three years as a family medicine PA, Shahed's passion for the discipline grew further. She then went on to obtain her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine where she graduated with honors. Her interests in family medicine include preventive medicine with an emphasis on early intervention and lifestyle medicine, health promotion, obesity management, women's health, and behavioral medicine. In her free time, Shahed enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. Her hobbies and interests include custom wood burning, cooking dishes from many cuisines, planning and decorating for events, swimming, and kayaking. Upon finishing residency, Shahed hopes to practice family medicine in a multidisciplinary clinic serving a diverse patient population with an emphasis on preventive medicine and wellness.

In her free time, she loves spending as much quality time with her loved ones as possible.
